Inventor software is the flagship product of Autodesk's Manufacturing Solutions Division and provides a comprehensive set of design tools for producing, validating, and documenting 3D designs. To enhance 2D to 3D productivity, Inventor software also ships with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Mechanical, the de-facto standard in 2D drafting software. Re-branded as AutoCAD Inventor for the 2010 release, the incorporated DWG TrueConnect technology maintains a 100% data interoperability between the applications, making the sharing of 2D data between them seamless.
